Why the tools are free
Here is the whole business model, plainly: the calculators and letters on this site are free, run in your browser, and send us nothing. We make money one way — landlords who want rent-day reminder texts will pay a flat monthly fee when that launches. No ads, no affiliate links, no selling data, no "free trial" tricks.
That's also why every tool shows its math. If you can check the work, you don't have to trust us — which is, of course, the fastest way to earn trust.
Who makes this
Built by one person, in the open.
RentChime is made by Jon, a product designer outside Chicago who also runs Jon's Reminders — a consent-first text-reminder service he built for his own parents. RentChime brings the same rule to rent day: nobody gets a text they didn't say yes to.
US phone numbers only for now.
